The Panel

Our panel will be led by industry legend Jon Perrins. A serial entrepreneur and investor, he is currently developing a new venture, Swift Storage, and pioneering the use of advanced technologies to deliver a simple and fast storage solution in Australia, now with 13 fully unmanned facilities and growing. His colleague, Louise Stokes, Head of Digital at Swift Storage will also join the panel. Ms Stokes has been instrumental in developing the 100% contactless, seamless booking and management system.
 
Green Storage co-founders, Stefan Nilsson (CEO) and Mats Steijner (COO) will detail the operational strategies that have made Green Storage (over 40 unmanned sites in Sweden) a leader in the European fully digitalised self storage industry, focusing on how efficient management and marketing practices contribute to the success of unmanned facilities. Their solutions have revolutionised customer experience and operational processes, including automated rental processes, remote monitoring, and enhanced security measures.

Principal Developer, Swift Storage

Jonathan Perrins is currently the Joint Fund Manager at Universal Self Storage Funds Management, with over 34 years of experience in the self storage industry and the principal developer of Swift Storage, which now operates 13 fully unmanned facilities in Australia, using advanced technologies to deliver a simple and fast storage solution.

He was the founder, owner, and chairman of Steel Storage Group (later sold to Janus International), a business he grew for over 20 years in the areas of self storage design, manufacturing, and construction in Australia, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Jonathan is a past Chairman of the Self Storage Association of Australasia and the past Chairman of the Self Storage Association of Asia. He was a founding shareholder and director of Extra Space Asia and has invested in a number of self storage centres in Australia and the UK. Jonathan co-founded Universal Self Storage Funds Management (USSFM) with Robert Gregg in January 2014 to capitalise on his experience to create further investment opportunities in the self storage industry.

Stefan Nilsson co-founded Green Storage in 2017 and continued as CEO after the merger between Green Storage and 24Storage. Stefan has 25 years of experience in the self storage industry, having held different roles at Shurgard and 24Storage. He has strong expertise in acquiring, developing, and operating self storage properties across Europe. Under his leadership, Green Storage has become the largest fully digitalised self storage facility provider in Sweden, with 45 locations.

Mats Steijner co-founded Green Storage in 2017 and continued as COO after the merger between Green Storage and 24Storage. Mr Steijner has over 20 years of experience within the self storage industry through various roles at Pelican and 24Storage. He has led operations and marketing segments for multiple operators in Sweden, bringing invaluable expertise to the table.

Louise Stokes, Swift Storage

Louise Stokes has been instrumental in developing the 100% contactless, seamless booking and management system for Swift Storage and  developing digital marketing and customer engagement strategies are crucial to the success of unmanned self storage facilities. She brings experience from previous roles at Digital Poverty Alliance, Shoreditch Virtual, and Digital Leaders. Louise holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication in Public Relations and Media & Communications from QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Her skill set includes social media, social media marketing, marketing communications, brand management, and more. Louise will provide valuable insights into the digital strategies that support the success of unmanned facilities.
