Asian Self Storage Association congratulates Japan's RSA on new board structure: expects enhanced collaboration for organisational continuity and market development

The Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA) congratulates the Rental Storage Association (Japan) on the new board structure announced for 2026. This board ensures robust organisational continuity, aimed at promoting compliance and further elevating industry standards within the Japanese self-storage market.

While the core executive leadership remains, an important personnel change occurred in an honorary position. Michinobu Tada, who led the association for many years, has stepped down, and Yasunobu Kurebayashi (Root) has assumed the role of the new honorary chairman. The SSAA expresses its gratitude for Tada's immense contributions to industry development in the Asian region and looks forward to the leadership of Representative Director Tokuo Yoshida under the new structure.

Michinobu Tada

Mr Tada has played a leading role in the association for 18 years since 2007. He has taken on many important roles in our community including:

●       Served as representative director of the association for 15 years.

●       Served as director during the early stages of establishing industry regulations, dedicating efforts to building the foundation of the industry.

●       Served as the RSA honorary chairman before retiring.

Yasunobu Kurebayashi

Mr Kurebayashi, who has newly assumed the position of honorary chairman, possesses extensive governance experience within the association.

●       Served as honorary director representing Root.

●       In 2026, officially assumed the position of honorary chairman.
