Key Speakers

Helen Ng

CEO of General Storage (Lock+Store, The Store House)

Coming from a background in property development, Helen Ng became Singapore's first female self-storage hub Chief Executive Officer when she took over the Lock+Store business from real estate developer Mapletree in November 2010. Prior to this, she was part of the Ang Oon Hue Pte Ltd senior management team which developed Greenview Mansion, a new property catering to long-term housing needs in the north of Singapore. She was in charge of Human Resource, Business Development and Marketing. Concurrently, the company took over the management of and turned around Sembawang Shopping Centre which was then sold to CapitalMall Trust in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, she oversaw the expansion of the Food and Beverage arm of Comfort Perth City Hotel in Australia and the construction of an additional carpark block. Today, it is a thriving three-star business hotel.

A self-storage opinion leader who is effectively bilingual, Helen has been quoted and featured extensively in regional print and broadcast media. She was a regular contributor to The Business Times’ “Views from the Top” weekly column in Singapore, and is regularly approached by the regional media for C-suite perspectives. A firm believer in Corporate Social Responsibility, Helen has launched various CSR initiatives at Lock+Store. Today, Lock+Store Singapore supports online crowdfunding charity Ray of Hope and Nature Society Singapore. In 2022, The Store House Hong Kong was recognised as a good corporate citizen under the Caring Company Scheme organised by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

 

Emma Feng

CEO of MyCube Self Storage

Emma Feng is the CEO and Founder of My Cube Self Storage, one of the pioneering brands in China’s self storage industry.

With over a decade of experience in public relations, Emma previously held an executive role at BlueFocus Communication Group. In 2013, while pursuing her MBA from Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, she established My Cube Self Storage. The company is now widely recognised for its fast occupancy rates, high customer satisfaction, and strong capacity for innovation. As of December 2021, My Cube operates 18 locations in Beijing, serving over 10,000 users, and is a close partner of major international self storage associations.

Emma also served as a board member of the Self Storage Association Asia (SSAA) from 2015 to 2017.

 

Manuel Mauritz

Cheif Executive Office, China

StorHub Self Storage Group

Manuel Mauritz is the Chief Executive Officer, China, for StorHub, a leading self storage company that invests in and develops properties across Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Australia, and Thailand. With over 12 years of experience in self storage, real estate investment, and advisory services in China, Manuel previously founded MiniCC in 2012, the country’s first institutional self storage company, growing it into a leading operator. He also co-founded Maxxelli Real Estate, a prominent real estate consulting firm in China. Manuel continues to leverage his extensive expertise to tap into the burgeoning potential of the region’s self storage markets.

 

Li Xiaoang

Self Storage Hub Branch Secretary-General of The China Association of Warehousing and Distribution

Li Xiaoang is the Self Storage Hub Branch Secretary-General of The China Association of Warehousing and Distribution. With extensive experience in standardisation, statistics, and research in the self storage industry, he has organised the development of group standards such as the "Self Storage Operation Management Standards" and the "Self Storage Operation Basic Requirements in Beijing."
