Patrick's early career was in sales and marketing in Canada. He moved to London in his late-20s where he began working in financial services recruitment. From here, Asia beckoned and he joined a U.S. executive search group as China manager based in Shanghai. He worked with a diverse range of clients across industries including legal, banking and financial services, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

He moved into the world of marketing and communications, developing web, digital and executive communications campaigns for Asia Pacific clients. His specialty is in coaching and training presentation and persuasion skills for his clients to articulate their corporate and executive objectives with clarity, impact and relevance.

Connect Communications also provides trainings to The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong’s Business Angel Programme from 2007. Coaching start-ups to prepare for their business plans and pitching presentations.

With a background in Electrical Engineering, Finance and Telecommunications, Michael has brought varied experience to innovate the Self Storage Industry.

He wrote “RapidStor” – the world’s first online integrated move in procedure for storers that uses SiteLink’s API, used by leading Self Storage companies and the AccessEzy iOS app, a world first for Self Storage access control.

Michael is responsible for the development and strategic direction of many Self Storage websites. As CEO of R6 Digital and SiteLink International, he is responsible for the day to day running of the group.

Bruce is a Director in Beijing Valuation and Advisory Services team. Bruce has more than 13 years of international working experience covering Canada and China. Prior to joining the Cushman & Wakefield in 2017, he was working for a Big4 accounting firm in Beijing, specialized in business valuation in mergers and acquisitions, intangible asset valuation in financial reporting, and project financial modeling for financing. Bruce has served clients in energy and resources, education, medical devices manufacturing, mining, telecom, public media and IT sectors.

Bruce has led the valuation and financial analysis work in many overseas investment projects, he also helps MNCs in investment project in China and provides valuation advisory services to both Chinese and overseas clients.

Robert Stanley-Turner is a licensed real estate agent who began his career in retail leasing at Jones Lang Wootton. He has been hooked on self storage facilities since selling his first complex in 1995, and has seen self storage grow from a cottage industry to a highly professional, billion-dollar business. Robert is an REIV-award winner for marketing excellence and in 2002, he established the first commercial agency in Australia to focus on storage facilities. In 2015 he launched his current company, Box Commercial, which is a specialist estate agent to the storage industry. He has marketed and acquired self-storage facilities around the country and is a member of both the Self Storage Association of Australasia and the Self Storage Association Asia.

Simon joined E3 Capital Partners, a multi-regional niche investment company in 2009, and is responsible for expanding its business across markets in both Asia and Europe. Previously qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in the UK, Simon moved to Asia in 2001 and has worked in senior positions at both CBRE and New Star Asset Management.

Since 2012, Simon has immersed himself in all aspects of self-storage, including the acquisition and subsequent divestment of Big Orange Self-Storage and thereafter, as the CEO of RedBox Storage, one of the most prominent self-storage companies in Hong Kong. Since 2016, Simon has been at the forefront of leading change in the industry alongside the SSAA to assist in determining new industry standards regarding safety and regulatory measures throughout the region.

Callum is a partner in the Private Equity firm Unity-Group. Co-founder and non-exec director of The Marketing Group PLC. He has more than two decades of experience in starting, building, buying, and selling businesses in a range of sectors, including recruitment, sport and lifestyle, information technology, and telecommunications.

Laing is also one of the pioneers behind the ‘Agglomerate’ methodology, which helps small businesses gain access to capital markets and connects investors with small profitable businesses.

Coming from a background in property development, Helen became Singapore's first female self-storage hub Chief Executive Officer when she took over the Lock+Store business from real estate developer Mapletree in November 2010. Prior to this, she was part of the Ang Oon Hue Pte Ltd senior management team which developed Greenview Mansion, a new property catering to long-term housing needs in the north of Singapore. She was in charge of Human Resource, Business Development and Marketing. Concurrently, the company took over the management of and turned around Sembawang Shopping Centre which was then sold to CapitalMall Trust in 2003. From 2004 to 2005, she oversaw the expansion of the Food and Beverage arm of Comfort Perth City Hotel in Australia and the construction of an additional carpark block. Today, it is a thriving three-star business hotel.
