About this Store
Space Next Door’s flagship facility includes 128 storage units with various size offerings ranging from extra small (16 sq ft) to large (117sq ft). It is conveniently located within 100m of the nearest residential area in Singapore. There are public transportation links nearby for ease of access as well as a main expressway. The favourable location of this facility caters to both household and corporate demographics.
Space Next Door’s facilities are unmanned, however customer support is readily available via their customer mobile app. Security is guaranteed with their one time pin verification also via their customer mobile app.
In addition to this, they have also integrated 360-degree interactive virtual tour functionality on their website to enable customers and potential customers to view the facility as if in person. Not only does their Matterport integration mimic the real-life experience it also provides intuitive measuring functionality so that users can easily gauge the size of the doors, corridors and units.
This facility is suitable to users across different categories - space is used by individuals, SME's, corporate users and everyone in between. Their no-frills approach resonates well with their diverse customer base.

Prior to launching the new Space Next Door Website in April 2021 there was no existing platform in Southeast Asia that could aggregate self-storage offerings and provide clear and transparent pricing.
Space Next Door wanted to solve this problem by providing a customer-centric, intuitive solution that enable customers to make self-storage bookings online, equipped with all the information to do this comfortably. These include:

Space Next Door was built using an API-centric approach. The whole platform runs on a headless backend that allows them to build omnichannel customer flows and extend Space Next Door’s capabilities with third party integrations such as payments, IoT, call center systems, etc.

Space Next Door is a relatively new player in the self-storage industry in Singapore. As an online marketplace as well as a self-storage operator they had a unique value proposition they wanted to communicate to their audience. They decided to take a multichannel-marketing approach to achieve their goals. They wanted to seamlessly present their brand, platform and value proposition in an online to offline to online approach.
The key message is that using their platform to book self-storage is a simple and intuitive process. The goal was simple - showcase that booking self-storage can easily be done online, much the same as services and offerings in other industries such as hotels etc - easily from the palm of your hand. To showcase this they employed the following initiatives:
